Best bike touring trails in Ludwigsburg

The route starts in Ludwigsburg/Poppenweiler and leads past the Buchenbach, Wüstenbach and Murr rivers. Most of the route is on meadow paths and trails. 2 times (Buchenbach and Wüstenbach) the bike has to be pushed through the water, but your feet stay dry as there are stones on which you can walk. The Wüstenbach is cycled through for a short stretch. The route is not particularly technically demanding, but in winter or on rainy days, the slippery surface requires strong studs on the tyres.

Start at the TSV sports ground, then along field paths in the direction of Freiberg down to the Neckar. Past Marbach along the cycle path via Murr, Kleinbottwar, Großbottwar, Oberstenfeld to Gronau. Then uphill to Prevorst and Stocksberg. Then a nice, brisk descent via Etzelswenden back again and via Gronau the same way back to Marbach. After crossing the Neckar, continue along it to Hoheneck and then after the spa, up to the right and past the Favoritepark back to the car park.
