Best mountain biking trails in Ludwigsburg

The route starts in Ludwigsburg/Poppenweiler and leads past the Buchenbach, Wüstenbach and Murr rivers. Most of the route is on meadow paths and trails. 2 times (Buchenbach and Wüstenbach) the bike has to be pushed through the water, but your feet stay dry as there are stones on which you can walk. The Wüstenbach is cycled through for a short stretch. The route is not particularly technically demanding, but in winter or on rainy days, the slippery surface requires strong studs on the tyres.

Start in Eglosheim at the TSV car park. Pass the Monrepossee lake in the direction of Asperg. At the open-air swimming pool, turn right and pass under the railway tracks, along the Hohenasperg and then continue along the Höhenweg to the Markgröningen clinic grounds. After crossing the country road, head up to the Flohberghaus and then continue along the edge of the forest. Trail down to the Enzknie (open on Sundays) and then right along the Enz.
