Best lake trails in Ludwigsburg

Family-friendly walk in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg. Monrepos means "my recreation" in German and the name is absolutely apt for this relaxed route through the palace park. You walk through pretty avenues and round the Monrepos lake. Of course, you also pass the Monrepos lake castle along the way. The route starts in Ludwigsburg/Poppenweiler and leads past the Buchenbach, Wüstenbach and Murr rivers. Most of the route is on meadow paths and trails. 2 times (Buchenbach and Wüstenbach) the bike has to be pushed through the water, but your feet stay dry as there are stones on which you can walk. The Wüstenbach is cycled through for a short stretch. The route is not particularly technically demanding, but in winter or on rainy days, the slippery surface requires strong studs on the tyres.
