RTF Giro Stormarn 160 Loop

Official route of the RTF of the Radsportverein Trave Bad Oldesloe e.V. This challenging road bike tour is one of the long-distance options of the popular "Giro Stormarn", an annual cycle tour (RTF) in northern Germany. Starting in Bad Oldesloe, the route explores the idyllic landscape of the Stormarn district. The profile is characterized by the typical "wave ride" of the region - a constant up and down of gentle hills, which are rarely steep, but add up over the long distance. The route leads through lush meadows, past brick villages and through the tree-lined avenues that are characteristic of Schleswig-Holstein. The wind is a constant companion here and can take its toll, especially on the last few kilometers. While the route is originally part of an organized event with refreshment points, it is ideal as a long training ride for self-supporters all year round, whereby the road traffic regulations (StVO) must always be observed.
