Certified premium hiking trail in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park, Saarland.
This popular circular hike has many great views of the Saar loops to offer. A bell can be used to summon the ferry that takes you to the other bank of the Saar. Continue up wooden bridges and stairs, past rock formations and through the shady tranquility of the valley to the viewing platform of the treetop trail. Past the ruins of Montclair Castle, the route heads back towards Mettlach. The route leads through quiet forest passages, along the banks of the Saar and on the slope above the Saar. Picturesque views of the Saar valley and the surrounding countryside are highlights along the way. Good shoes are recommended.

April to October: daily from 10:00 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.
