This beautiful and very challenging route leads into the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. Start is on the outskirts of Hettenrodt. It goes in a northerly direction, via Kirschweiler and through the Idarwald. The mountainous area demands a lot, but at the same time it is a real driving pleasure, thanks to this beautiful landscape. In the Bernkastel-Kues area, the Moselle is crossed twice and you can enjoy the beautiful vineyards. The high-altitude town of Hinzerath compensates for the hard journey with a beautiful view. Via the old Roman road, it later goes through Bischofsdhron on the way back and back to the starting point. There are numerous places to stop for refreshments along the way.
