Certified premium hiking trail to Pyrmont Castle near Roes, Rhineland-Palatinate
This hike is one of the Rhine-Moselle-Eifel-Land dream trails and is a certified premium hiking trail. In 2015, this dream trail was even voted Germany's most beautiful hiking trail!
The route leads through forests over the Sammelskopf, from where marvellous views can be enjoyed, and on into the beautiful Elzbach Valley. Special highlights are the waterfalls at the Pyrmont mills and the historic Pyrmont Castle.
Premium hiking trails are certified by the German Hiking Institute and are characterised by particularly high hiking quality. They are excellently marked and guarantee a balanced and enjoyable hiking experience. Of course, the well-marked trails don't mean that there aren't a few challenges waiting - good shoes are particularly important in wet weather, as the route sometimes leads over slippery roots, stones and rocks.
There are car parks and refreshment stops right at the starting point.
