This is the second stage of the certified quality path "Palatinate Forest Path", which leads from Kaiserslautern through the Palatinate Forest to the German Wine Gate in Schweigen-Rechtenbach.
The short but varied hike begins at the Naturfreundehaus Finsterbrunnertal and ends in Johanniskreuz. Always following the course of the Moosalbe you soon reach the Karlstal Gorge, one of the most beautiful and most photographed hiking destinations in the Palatinate Forest.
