The picturesque climatic health resort of Dannenfels is the starting point for the second stage of the certified quality trail "Pfälzer Höhenweg". Many great viewpoints, some rustic huts and an old Celtic ring wall are some of the special features of this hike. The fantastic views of the Donnersberg, the highest mountain in the North Palatinate Bergland, are particularly beautiful.
