This circular route is a certified premium hiking trail. The hike leads through varied nature on many paths and narrow stretches. On the way you will always find remains that bear witness to the monasteries in the area, such as the key stone and the former Neuh monastery estate.
The tour begins and ends at the Naturfreundehaus Rahnenhof and initially goes steadily uphill towards Kieskautberg. From there it goes over the Steinkopf and the Leuchtenberg in the direction of Höningen. Back to the starting point it goes along the Kahlenberg.
