Beautiful hiking trail at Himmerod Monastery near Großlittgen, Rhineland-Palatinate.
An idyllic loop that starts at the historic Cistercian monastery of Himmerod. There are car parks, public bathrooms, a bakery and the monastery restaurant, an inn and, of course, the beautiful grounds of the monastery itself, with its chapel, ponds and monastery fishery. The route leads through the shady woods near the monastery grounds and then back to the starting point.
