Stage 6 of the "Ausoniusweg" long-distance hiking trail, Rhineland-Palatinate.
This is the sixth and last stage of the Ausoniusweg, which leads in the footsteps of the Roman poet Ausonius from Bingen to Trier through the Hunsrück.
At just under 13 km, this section is one of the shortest and easiest stages on the Ausoniusweg. So you can enjoy the truly beautiful landscapes of the Fellertal, the Ruwertal and the Moselle valley, which is characterized by vineyards, in peace and quiet. The crowning finale of the historic Ausoniusweg is Trier, where you can visit the world-famous Porta Nigra, the amphitheater, the Imperial Baths and numerous other Roman buildings.
