This is the third day's stage of the Ausoniusweg, which leads in the footsteps of the Roman poet Ausonius from Bingen to Trier once through the Hunsrück. Just like the previous sections, the hike from Kirchberg to Morbach is considered difficult. The hiking trail along the old Roman road is rich in cultural and historical attractions. You should definitely take a little time to explore the Belginum Archaeological Park, where you can admire many finds from the ancient settlement "Vicus Belginum".
The start and finish points can be reached by bus. In Morbach (a short distance south of the official end of the stage) there are places to stay overnight and refreshments stops.
