This route is a certified quality hiking trail up to Velmerstot, the highest point in the Egge Mountains. The loop begins near the village of Leopoldstal. The fairytale path leads to the twin peaks with the Lippische and Prussian Velmerstot, where two attractions worth seeing await with a sandstone obelisk and the Egge Tower. The mountain heathland on the Velmerstot, fantastic panoramic views and the gently babbling Silberbach, which accompanies the hike on the way back for a while, ensure a varied hiking experience all round. At the Silbermühle there is a café to take a break.
The starting point can be reached by bus and train (approx. 600 m long access from Leopoldstal train station).
