Panoramic and varied loop near Nideggen, North Rhine-Westphalia.
This beautiful route has a lot to offer and leads on sometimes quite steep paths and paths. The reward for the effort, however, are exceptional farsightedness.
The route begins at the "Am Zülpicher Tor" car park and leads past the Nideggen spa gardens and Nideggen Castle up to the Sürches Mossel. A visit to the castle can be scheduled at the beginning or end of the tour.
Another highlight awaits after the descent into the valley - the Obermaubach dam. Around the northern shore, you continue on beautiful forest paths to the enchanting federal sandstone rocks in the Ruhr Valley. These views round off the tour wonderfully before returning to the starting point.
Some of the route is not well signposted, which is why using an offline map can be an advantage.
