A perfect hike to chill out on a sunny day. You hike across open fields and can enjoy great views of the Eifel. In addition, halfway along the path you reach the historic Mariawald Monastery, whose history dates back to around 1470. Here you can get the famous pea soup for refreshment (you should find out about seasonally different opening times - see tips). Then it goes in the direction of Wolfgarten in the Kermeter and through the beautiful mixed forest back to the starting point (be careful when crossing the main roads). The route is not consistently signposted.
