A route was created between Hennef and Winterscheid where you are literally on the "wooden path". This is one of the Sieg adventure trails and is a flagship for local hiking tourism. A good starting point for the wooden trail is the hiking car park in Derenbachtal.
This route leads past beautiful green meadows, through colorful forests and along small streams. Some beautiful views open up along the circular route, although there is only a difference in altitude of 460 meters. There are many forest paths waiting and the route is partly steep. Due to forestry work, some sections of the route are very worn out,
