A varied bike tour near Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia
This loop starts at the Brühl train station / Augustusburg Castle (accessible by bus and train), from where you ride out of town in the direction of Berzdorf. At the crossroads K7 Otto Wels Str. turn right and after approx. 300 m keep left in the direction of the Falkenlust hunting lodge (cobblestone pavement). The route continues past the Entenfang (two playgrounds and lake), through Wesseling to the Rhine, before it goes along the towpath to Bonn city center. From here you follow the Regio-Grün-Weg over the vegetable fields back to Brühl. All in all a fairly flat stretch with short climbs in Dransdorf towards Alfter. There are places to stop for a break.
