Deister-Kammweg between Egestorf and Bantorf

Idyllic hiking route near Barsinghausen in Lower Saxony. It starts at the Egestorf train station. It goes west towards the Försterweg and into the dense forest, where there is also a forest playground. You will come across the Polenzstein (memorial stone). On the Alter Kammweg you cross the Bad Münder circular hiking trail. Passing the "Alte Baptism", a cuboid rock cliff on the side of the path, you continue to follow the ridge path, which leads directly past the Barsinghausen telecommunications tower, until you reach the mountain hut of the same name near the Kreuzbuche. The hiker keeps going north until he comes to the "window to the jungle", a great vantage point near Bad Nenndorf, which in good weather allows a great view of the town and the surrounding area. This vantage point is ideal both for photo sessions and as a meeting point for a picnic. Passing the Steinbrink natural forest, you finally reach Bantorf train station. Accessible by bus and train. There are places to stop for refreshments near the route.
