Four Tower Tour Wetzlar

Popular loop trail near Wetzlar, Hesse. Three watchtowers and a lookout tower await hikers on the four-tower tour in Wetzlar, which starts at the historic Lahnbruecke (fees are charged for parking lot). You leave the Hauser Muehle and the open-air stage behind and soon reach the Bismarck Tower on the Lahnberg (alternative tour start). More highlights include the Kaisersgrund, the Bruehlsbacher Warte and the Stoppelberg, where an observation tower offers great views of the Duensberg and Wetzlar. Then there is a restaurant in the cherry grove. In the further course you reach a lookout point, from which a great view of the previous three towers opens up, and the Staufer castle ruins Kalsmunt. Behind the castle you climb down a small path to the banks of the Lahn, from where you go back to the starting point. The four-tower tour is marked with a red "1" on a white background.
