Taunus: Seelenberg - Pferdskopf - Treisberg - Seelenberg

Wild Circular Hike in the Taunus Mountains, Hesse Starting from the Tuttmannswald parking lot near Seelenberg, this route leads along beautifully dense forest trails, first past the Feldkopf and on to one of the most popular attractions in the Taunus Mountains: the 34-meter-high observation tower on the Pferdskopf. After enjoying the panoramic views from dizzying heights, the trail continues to Treisberg (where you can stop for a bite to eat) and toward Finsterthal. From here, following the course of the idyllic Saubach stream, the trail leads back to the starting point of the hike. During the summer, parts of the trail can become so overgrown that the hike suddenly becomes much more difficult than expected. In that case, it’s better to take an alternative route. The route is not well marked in some places, so using a map is advisable.
