Starkenburg RTF Cycling Marathon VC Darmstadt

Long marathon course of the Starkenburg RTF of the VC 1899 Darmstadt. This is a challenging cycle tour (RTF) through the vast, legendary forests of the Odenwald low mountain range in Hesse. The long distance, known locally as a challenging cycling marathon, demands extreme stamina from the riders and leads over hundreds of kilometers with thousands of meters of elevation gain on steep, paved roads. The route is a pure fitness challenge and in return offers far-reaching views over the landscape that was once the setting for the famous Germanic heroic saga Nibelungenlied. The course is an all-day ride that requires excellent physical condition and experience in road cycling.
