Certified premium hiking trail in the Habichtswald Nature Park, Hesse.
This route is one of the 8 Extratour loops in the beautiful Habichtswald Nature Park. It starts in the Bad Emstal spa gardens, near the Parkhotel. The route heads north towards the Sand district and later through the wonderfully fragrant rose and herb garden. This tour offers pretty much everything a hiker could wish for: forest edges, open, idyllic meadow landscapes and the beautiful Ems valley. A special cultural and historical monument along the route is Altenburg Castle. Refreshments are available in many places along the way.
A red circle with a white "H6" marks the route. The starting point can also be reached by bus and train (NVV line 52 from Kassel Wilhelmshöhe, Thermalbad stop).
