Starting from Mernes, the trail climbs a few meters in altitude, partly through dense forest on narrow paths. Although there is a high proportion of gravel, the fairytale forest paths are the exception.
At Lettgenbrunn, the Eselsweg trail leads from the ridge back down into the valley, offering fantastic views of meadows and fields. The place is also perfect for a break. There is pure forest enjoyment again until the stage finish.
