The Ederseeweg was opened as early as 1928. The almost 50 km long long-distance hiking trail leads from Kassel-Wilhelmshoehe through the Habichtswalder Bergland to the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park. The route leads over mountain ranges such as the 434 m high Brasselsberg and through pretty towns such as Niedenstein, Bad Emstal and Naumburg. The Ederseeweg is marked throughout (white E on a black background) and has numerous information boards along the way.
