Close-to-nature loop in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Brandenburg.
It starts at the Geopark Visitor and Information Center in Groß-Ziethen; you hike through the ground moraine landscape, to the experience site Sperlingsherberge and past a huge boulder as well as through the Grumsiner forest. The hike leads over natural forest paths, sand paths and cobblestones. Every now and then it goes a little steeper and there are roots and stones to cross; so you should bring sturdy shoes. The trail marking is - of course - a green beech leaf.
Highlights:
- Exhibition "Ice Age Experience" in the Groß-Ziethen visitor center
- Gravel pit viewing platform
- Sparrow hostel experience
- Giant boulder
