Henzendorfer Heidetour - Naturpark Schlaubetal

The Reicherskreuzer Heide near Henzendorf is part of the Schlaubetal Nature Park and extends over large parts of the former military training area. Today it is a very special habitat and offers ideal conditions for a diverse range of animals and plants. The 4 hectare boulder park can be seen from afar and a detour for a short picnic break is worthwhile. Processed and unprocessed boulders were impressively set up in the natural heathland and tell their kind of geological history. Artists from Poland and Germany worked on stones based on Celtic and Hittite models. Back on the main path and after another 1.5 km follow the signs for the newly created nature trail. The 4 km long circular hiking trail leads past the summer stable and lookout tower, which promises a wonderful view over the vast heathland of the nature park. It is particularly beautiful in August / September when the heather shows itself in all its splendor of colors.
