The starting point of the 5th day tour of the FONTANE.RAD route is Wusterhausen/Dosse with its tranquil old town. From there it goes to Brunn. Here you can find a tombstone in front of the church, which Fontane mentioned in his wanderings.
The Rohrs manor house described by Fontane in the nearby town of Tramnitz no longer exists today. However, a few traces can still be found in the village church: the family coat of arms from the 18th century. In Tornow there is a handsome manor house with a park designed by Peter Joseph Lenné. The former owners bought it back years ago and today the estate functions as an organic farm and riding stable. At the Untersee you can take a small ferry to the Unterseeinsel. The last stop is the town of Kyritz an der Knatter. The city probably got its nickname because of the many rattling water mills.
