This is a very nice circular hike with a lot of forest and water in the Reinickendorf district in northwest Berlin. Many of the capital's most beautiful waters can be found in this area, including the Havel, Heiligensee and Tegeler See. This route leads first along the banks of the Havel, then past Lake Tegel and through the idyllic Tegeler Forst landscape protection area back to the starting point. A special attraction are the wildlife preserves at the forester's house, where you can watch wild boar, fallow deer and even mouflon from up close. On warm days, it is worth stopping at one of the bathing spots along the route.
