A truly marvellous hike in the Allgäu region with fantastic views. The route leads through idyllic mountain forests and across picturesque alpine pastures. Sturdy footwear, sure-footedness, a head for heights and a good level of fitness are important for this route. There are exposed sections between Zinken and Sorgschrofen, but these are secured. There is also a rope-secured climbing section up to the Zinken.
Stopping off at the Hintere Sorgalpe mountain hut is possible on the way.
The start is in Unterjoch, where there are car parks, accommodation and refreshment facilities as well as a public bathroom.
