Challenging summit hike in the Karwendel
From the cross-country ski trail car park in Krün, the trail first leads through the forest up to the Krinner-Kofler-Hütte hut. There hikers can either spend the night there or take a break before discovering the various peaks of the Karwendel. Passing the Grumpenkarspitze, the route reaches the Soiernhaus with its idyllic lakes - a lovely place to linger. From there, with a bit of stamina, the route climbs up to the highest point of the tour - the summit of the Schöttelkarspitze and a little way below the Feldernkreuz, before descending back to Krün past the Seinskopf and the Schwarzkopf.
