The Tennenloher Forst nature reserve is one of the largest sand ecosystems in southern Germany. The hiker's heart is particularly pleased by the local heath landscapes and silver grass meadows as well as the rare animal species that have adapted to the conditions. More than 1,500 rare plants and animals, including Przewalski's horses, find a habitat within the protected area.
Since the area was used as a US military training area, there is a ban on leaving the area due to unexploded ammunition (be sure to pay attention to this, danger to life if you leave the path!).
The start is at the parking lot on Kurt-Schumacher-Straße. Refreshments are not possible on the way.
