It goes from the north of Erlangen through the Erlanger Meilwald over the Marloffstein clay pit through Neunkirchen am Brand to Franconian Switzerland. Once across the Haarbachwald, the hike leads through Hetzles back over the Rathsberg to Erlangen. There are several places to stop for refreshments on the hike and with an overnight stay in Neunkirchen or Hetzles it can also be split into two daily stages.
