The first part of the route leads through fairly flat terrain on partly paved paths over the Wimbach Bridge to Ramsau near Berchtesgaden. Passing several places to stop for refreshments, it goes to the Hintersee. From there, the path climbs slightly but steadily. Passing the Bindalm, which is open seasonally, you reach your destination in Hirschbichl. The bus can be used there.
