Challenging mountain bike tour with marvellous views near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria.
Start at the hiking car park in Griesen. From here, the route follows the "Plansee-Friedergries" sign. On gravel paths, the route heads into the valley into the Friedergries and through the Naidernachtal valley. After a long descent, the route finally climbs "In der Naidernach". The route continues across a large meadow towards Plansee. Once the route reaches Plansee, keep right and follow the lakeside road. The "Hotel Forelle" on Planseestraße is a cosy place to stop for refreshments. From there, the return journey to Griesen begins.
