From Ostheim it goes up on hiking trail no. 2 to Lichtenburg. Up there you can stop and enjoy the wonderful view of the southern Rhön. Then follow the blue triangle to Königsburg (a refuge shows the former location) and continue in the direction of Fladungen. After approx. 400 m the path divides and the route runs on hiking trail no. 1 to Nordheim. In Nordheim you cross the Streu and hike over the Dachsberg and the Kaffenberg (marking: blue drop / open triangle). The red triangle shows the way back to the starting point.
There are refreshment stops and the route can be reached by bus and train.
