The tour leads over the castle stables of the Randenburg, which was razed in the Middle Ages, up to the ring wall on the Schanzenkopf, over the Elbernhöhe down to the Hemsbacher Kreuz, on the Eichhörnchenweg later Pilzweg to Buchwald, on the ridge line back to the Hahnenkammhaus, and back down to the starting point - the hiking car park Oberwald.
