The loop starts on the edge of Kappeln and leads through the adventurous Höllschlucht gorge, past waterfalls, and the "Teufelsküche" (Devil's Kitchen). The route soon reaches a beautiful forest and heads up to the Kappeler Alp, which offers lovely views from the alpine meadows. It is not for nothing that this famous mountain hut is also known as the "Balcony of the Allgäu." Bavarian delicacies can be enjoyed during a break in the hut, which is open in summer. The hike then returns via the Hündeleskopf, and shortly before the end of the fantastic loop, the Hundelekopfhütte also offers the opportunity to stop for refreshments in summer.
