Blomberg Loop Trail from Stallau

This loop trail leads from Stallau, at the foot of the Bavarian Pre-Alps, up the forested slopes of the Blomberg near Bad Tölz. The trail climbs through quiet mixed forests along root-strewn forest paths and, further up, joins easily walkable forest roads. At the mountain ridge near the historic Blomberghaus, open alpine meadows open up, offering a panoramic view of the Isar Valley and the peaks of the Pre-Alps. The return route winds its way downhill through dense, shaded forest. Sturdy hiking boots with good traction are recommended for the uneven and, in places, rocky and root-covered sections.
