Start at the train station in Wasseralfingen. via ore to the Naturfreundehaus on Braunenberg. In a wide arc around Röthardt and high over forest paths and trails to Baierstein. Here you have a wonderful view over Aalen and the Albtrauf. At the Baierstein the zigzag trail down on the forest path and follow to the left to the Waldhäuser Steige. Cross this and then along the edge of the forest to the Naturfreundehaus above Unterkochen, where you can take a break. Then on the Böllerweg and the old Schättreweg to almost the end in front of the old tunnel. Here down the narrow path to the source of the Kocher and following the water to the train station in Unterkochen.
You can take the train back. It drives in the direction of Ellwangen 20 minutes after every hour on the hour. In 10 minutes you are back in Wasseralfingen.
