This popular tour through idyllic deciduous and coniferous forests is a certified premium hiking trail. On enchanted paths it goes directly to the first lookout point, from where a beautiful view of Zavelstein and the Teinach valley opens up. Other stations such as the fairy meadow, sky swing and great views of the ruins of Zavelstein Castle promise a varied hiking experience. It takes its name from the walled wolf pit, a pitfall used for wolf hunting until the 19th century, which you pass about halfway through the route.
