Challenging circular hiking trail in the Black Forest Central/North Nature Park, Baden-Württemberg.
This is a fantastic, but also quite strenuous hike in the Black Forest. It goes up the highest mountain in the northern Black Forest: the Hornisgrinde, which is characterized by high moorland landscapes. Along the way you will also find the Mummelsee lake (which can also get very crowded on warm summer days and weekends) and several rustic huts where you can stop for refreshments.
The starting point can be reached by train to "Ottenhöfen" station.
