Stage 5 of the “Donau-Zollernalb-Weg” long-distance hiking trail, Baden-Württemberg.
This is the fifth stage of the Donau-Zollernalb-Weg quality trail, which runs for almost 160 km from Beuron in the Danube Valley to the Lemberg and crosses the highest part of the Swabian Alb. The fifth stage starts in Veringenstadt and the hike ends in Gammertingen. The route, which is beautiful to hike, enchants with its varied landscapes, great views of the Lauchert valley and impressive rock formations. The Hettingen Castle is the cultural highlight. There are overnight stops and refreshment stops at the stage destination, but not en route (pack provisions!).
