6 Valleys Ride

78.9miLength
12,595ftElevation gain
Loop
From the heart of the northern Black Forest, this challenging circular route leads through six different valleys and demands an enormous physical effort from cyclists. The route overcomes numerous metres in altitude and connects picturesque river valleys such as the Enz, Murg and Nagold. Historically, these valleys formed the backbone of the regional timber industry, where raftsmen used the mountain streams to transport timber towards the Rhine. Considerable physical stamina is required to tackle the steep, winding climbs and the cumulative metres in altitude of the total distance. A mixture of p dense forest paved roads, cenery and panoramic ridge sections with views over the Black Forest National Park can be expected. The terrain remains technically uncomplicated for racing bikes, making the tour a pure test of endurance and mountain strength in one of Germany's most famous low mountain ranges.
