To the AllTrails community,
Even the most epic trails come to an end. Today, I shared the news with the team here at AllTrails that I am stepping down as CEO. The company will be conducting a search for the next chief executive to lead AllTrails in a new chapter of growth.
When I joined the company in 2015, I couldn’t have imagined that it would grow to be a driving force in both the outdoor and tech industries. Over the past decade, we’ve built the world’s biggest community of outdoor enthusiasts. We’ve transformed how people discover and participate in adventures outside. Most importantly, we’ve changed lives at a massive scale by (re)connecting people to nature.
At the same time, there has never been more opportunity ahead for AllTrails. For as far as we’ve come, we have much farther to go in what we can achieve. In almost 10 years at the company, my belief in our mission and our team has been unwavering. I believe what’s best for both at this time is to allow a new leader to take them forward.
AllTrails’ work to help the world find its way outside will never be done. There are big and exciting things planned for 2025. I will be cheering the team on, albeit from a different vantage point, and looking forward to seeing all the ways you get out there this year and beyond.
