Best trails near Kalkberg

Mountain bike route with beautiful views past the medieval castle ensemble "Drei Gleichen". This route starts at the "Drei Gleichen" campsite and leads from here over several small elevations and hills, from which there are great views of the surrounding countryside. You also pass some historically relevant places, as well as the Wechma dam. Part of the route is a water passage, about 75cm deep.

Interesting hike in the Thuringian Forest and Thuringian Burgenland. This interesting hike runs along the Apfelstädt cycle path, so it can also be easily travelled by bike. It is dedicated to the question of how people used and still use rivers today. Pupils from the region have designed display boards along the way. The start is at the car park on the "Schlaufweg", right next to the cosy ice cream parlour at the Kurpark. There are public bathrooms on the other side of the road from the car...
