Best trails near Moorteich

The name of the hike comes from the fact that the trail looks a lot like a turkey! Apart from that, the route leads to many interesting rock formations in the Biela Valley, including the Rosengarten, the Columns of Hercules and the Grenzplatte. She then loops through Buchenhain and Wolfstein before returning.

A nice circular hike that starts from the town of Markesbach. On the course of the border you come across the first foothills of the Sandstone Mountains. The path is not always easy and requires a minimum of perseverance. Every now and then you have to overcome a few larger stones. Sturdy shoes are recommended.

This route starts at the Ottomühle forest car park and leads through the forest to various points of interest. First, some of the nearby rock formations such as the Glasergrundwand, the Glasergrundwarte and the Glasergrund Nadel are visited. Then it goes on to the Wormsberg guardian. Then we continue to the border plate. Then it goes deep into the forest, with a stop at the bog pond, but eventually you reach the Zeisigstein, which offers a nice view of the area. Then it goes back.
