The route leads around the Jungfern Weiher near Ulmen and the Ulmener Maar. The Jungfernsee was formerly used by the lords of Ulmen as fishing waters until it silted up. After the former maar was used for cutting peat for a while, the decision was made to flood the area again in 1942. Today, the maiden pond and the Ulmen maar are under nature protection.
