This route begins in the heart of Bonn, in the immediate vicinity of the university and on the banks of the Rhine. It follows the Rhine down to Rolandswerth where there is a ferry to Nonnenwerth and then to Bad Honnef. One also comes through the town of Bad Godesberg, which is south of Bonn.
