Idyllic cycle tour along the Rhenish Donkey. The "Rhenish Donkey" was once a vibrant rail link that connected the industrial sites in Dortmund, Bochum and Witten. Official route of the permanent CTF of the RSV Dortmund-Nord. You can find further details directly from the organizer: http://do-nord.de/ The route winds its way to Bochum on side streets with little traffic. Here it goes on a well-developed railway line (Rheinischer Esel) via Witten to Do-Löttringhausen. Then it goes over an astonishing amount of green to the Red Earth Stadium. Only the last few kilometers lead again consistently over asphalt.
